FUN-draising
Spooky Welly Walk is a fundraising walk and a great way to introduce your little ones to the wonderful world of fundraising. Although every child will receive a medal for completing the walk, those who fundraise will be celebrated for their hard work and support.
We’re asking each child who takes part to try and raise at least £50. If they do, they will receive a Golden Ticket to be used on one of our paid stations, a sweet treat and a couple of surprises. Bring your money or proof of funds raised to the e-ticket hut upon your arrival and we’ll give you your little one’s fundraising bag in return.
With just a few simple steps, you can set up your child’s fundraising page here.
Why fundraise?
Lung cancer is a disease that affects so many people; young and old, men and women, smoker, non-smoker and never smoker. If you have lungs then you can get lung cancer. Taking more lives than breast, prostate and pancreatic cancers combined, lung cancer tears thousands of families apart.
Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is the only charity in the UK solely dedicated to supporting people affected by all forms of the disease and leading the charge to improve outcomes so people can live through lung cancer rather than die of it.
Our research into early detection has laid the groundwork for lung cancer screening which was approved in June 2023 after 33 years of campaigning. Early diagnosis is key, and these life-saving initiatives mean more people will be able to have curative treatment.
And we couldn’t do that without you!
